Level One:   My future development plan begins with completing my current course Level 3 Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Performing Arts with a grade D*D*D*. I will continue to participate in performance events both inside and outside of my Cambridge Technical course to enhance and develop my physical skills, versatility, and confidence. I will complete work experience this summer in the Edinburgh Fringe with Captivate Theatre to gain experience and knowledge about working in the industry, alongside taking part in Captivate Theatre’s summer school each July to prepare myself for the intensive and full-on nature of the performance industry, as well as to establish a good network of connections in the industry and meet like-minded people. I will continue attending WEMT school in London every Sunday and partake in singing, acting, ballet, contemporary, and jazz classes as well as beginning the tap classes to allow me to increase my versatility as a dancer.     I will...

 Teacher feedback: Rosy, you have worked very hard in all aspects of the Kathak dance style project and made clear progress in a style that is challenging and was new to you.  In your Performance on Wednesday 14 th   June 2023 you performed this ensemble dance piece with a strong mastery of the basic Kathak qualities we have been learning, applied to telling the story to a public audience. Though your commitment to developing skills in the Kathak style you were able to execute the hand eye coordination demanded of the mudras with clarity. Yu also developed the quality of extension and poise in your gestures and posture very successfully.   You consistently work in a highly collaborative way with your group and you take great care during the rehearsal of the piece to achieve strong accuracy in formations, and timing in relation to each other. I have just watched the film of my final performance of the Kathak dance group piece ‘Dancing on the Streets’ which I performed at the Spotlight college production on Wednesday 14 th  June 2023. I am really proud of what I achieved in this performance, such as how I  adopted  the characteristics of such an unfamiliar style as Kathak. Most notably my  rhythmic accuracy and hand-eye coordination  during the rhythmic sequence. It ended up looking very tight and polished as I ensured I was following all the rules of Kathak, such as following my hands with my eyes at all times and ensuring I was creating triangular shapes with my feet, legs, hands, and arms.  I am also impressed by how I communicated the story. The physical skills  Posture and Alignment  Good posture and alignment is where all parts of the body are relating to each other in a safe and efficient way, either standing, sitting, lying down or in motion. This ensures the safety of the body. This skill is applied in the dance as we are required to stand in a specific way, with out knees bent, feet turned out, and our backs straight - this is a fundamental aspect of Kathak which must be executed correctly and precisely to create triangular shapes. I believe I apply this skill successfully in the dance. As you can see, I demonstrate the correct triangular Kathak stance yet my back remains straight, and also my knees are correctly and safely aligned with my toes despite both being turned out. Even as I am looking down in the first photo, I am not slouching and I keep my spine extended. In the second photo, my upper body and lower body are detached, so despite being knelt down with my legs bent, my spine remains correctly...
